 It's like you're stepping back into the swing era when you go to Club Deluxe. Bands play Wed. through Sunday nights. Try the bloody mary's here-they are fantastic!Originally built in 1949, Club Deluxe is from a bygone era of fedora-wearing clientele. It's re-emergence from obscurity occured in the late 90's when the 40's era of jazz and swing dancing craze began. Since then, the bar has gone through several changes, from food to drinks, but mostly in the types of music it has on hand. Currently, you can find an eclectic mix of big band, dixeland, contemporary jazz, as well as rockabily and swing. On Tuesday nights, you can come and watch award winning comedians. Occasionally, they'll have an open mic night. Sundays you'll find Bossa Nova on hand. The interior is retro cool, and comfortable. With stylish vintage furnishings, and vinyl dinettes, not to mention the high-backed booths, the decor is through and through vintage. Although the kitchen once served a bigger menu, now you'll find pizzettas made from organic flour and sourdough yeast, made with fresh ingredients. View Larger Map |
